Join in the Archbishop of Canterbury’s Prayer initiative.

We will be holding 10 days of prayer and fellowship, starting with our Ascension Day service.

During the week there will be times of prayer and times to meet together and have fun.

Why not volunteer to help organise events?

Here’s the events so far:

  • Thursday 10th May: Ascension Day Service, 7.30 -8.30, with Archdeacon Fiona preaching. Followed by the Ascension supper – food for everyone!
  • Saturday 12th May: Church and community coffee morning, 10.00 – 11.30, in the church. Scone and cream, cakes. If you can bake cakes or scones please see Pam.
  • Sunday 13th May: Whole church walk and picnic at Beechhurst; either walk through the woods or drive and meet us there. If wet, picnic in the church!
  • Tuesday 15th May, 2.30pm: Ladies cream tea at Hassocks Garden Centre. Please sign the list if you are interested. Lifts will be organised.
  • Wednesday 16th May, 7.30pm: Wine, cheese and prayer. Enjoy fellowship over wine and cheese, followed by a time to pray.
  • Sunday 19th May: Men’s breakfast at Beechhurst Harvester. See Laurie for more details.

But, the main reason for the season is to pray!

During these 10 days we shall be asking everyone to pray. We are asking everyone to pray for 4 people from the electoral roll that they may deepen their relationship with Jesus. And to pray for one person that you know who doesn’t yet know Jesus, that they will find out about our Lord.

Names will be given out before Ascension Day.
